well, Q-con is over now! I was so tired for the whole thing
Saturday morning I got a lift up to Belfast with Serena's family. When we got there, we couldnt find our accomadation so we got changed in the university bathrooms. I was cardcaptor Sakura and Serena was Misa Amane (she looked so fabulous, though the costume did invite some hooker jokes ). We spent the first day kind of getting our bearings. We explored the con and figured out where everything was. The rockband competetion downstairs was cool, we watched some of our friends playing, they were great. Upstairs we spent much of our time in the dealers/game hall, I bought 3 posters and an InuYasha keyring, then since i spent over ten euro at this stall (yes, they were taking euro and i was in love with them for that because my sterling is insane.) they gave me a sort of raffle ticket thingy. I lost but still got a prize! I picked a sneak peak volume, and was very pleased, except then this creepy guy was like stalking me, so we left. We found our accomadation, this awesome place called Elms villa. It was so cool, we had good fun there Then it was back to the Con, where we looked for our friend Aaron to protect us from weirdo's I had fun looking at everyones costumes! there were some amazing ones. when the con was over we made our own dinner at the kitchen down the hall from us then went out to take cosplay photos.
Sunday was an early start, urgh. I was brushing my teeth and my family rang to sing to me I had actually forgotten it was my birthday!Im 16 now, crazy shit. We got into our costumes, I was Princess Serenity and Serena was Rima Touya. I didnt like my serenity costume at all, I felt just awful wearing it. I actually NEED to remake it! But meeting sailor moon fans was fun.We spent the morning in the artists alley, talking to the artists. They were all lovely! I got a sketch from Tri, and a sketch and presents for my siblings from Ikki (whose real name I think was either julie, or Juliet). I also got a hug from Simca, who actually remembered me from epic-con which totally made me happy! I went back to the stall that took euro and got a 3-disc xxxholic dvd, a sumomo from chobits mini figurine, a teeny tiny utterly adorable Aerith keyring and a hello kitty charm bracelet. and because of their raffle thingy I ended up with 2 posters and 3 more sneak peaks! then there was the cosplay photoshoot - dancers stole the show and the closing ceremony was cool. There was a charity raffle, I won a prize in it. I got a haruhi Suzumiya dvd, but it wont play for me
then it was home again. I was so freakin tired D
